from residents

to reformers

we are building the denmark of tomorrow

  • Our Voice is a national movement dedicated to transforming international residents from silent contributors into active political stakeholders. We inspire and equip internationals across Denmark to form local representation, engage in municipal politics, and integrate to belong.

  • Denmark is powered by over 600.000 international residents, a significant part of our society and the spirit of its economy.

Being essential to the workforce is not enough. To truly belong, we must be essential to the democracy.

We are the voice of 600.000 people

This is Our Voice

600.000 people. This is how many non-Danish citizens live in Denmark. It is a city larger than Aarhus and Odense combined.

International residents in Denmark are often perceived as guests who work, pay taxes, and one day they will leave. Just as much as our Danish friends, partners and colleagues, we are the hands that build the economy, the brains that drive innovation, and the hearts that keep our communities alive in Denmark.

Danish citizens have the privilege to be represented and be part of the national political sphere of our country, because they own a Danish passport.

600.000 people can’t benefit from this privilege, yet.

We aim at working with political parties

International citizens are not just “workforce”. We are people, with the exact same needs, perspectives and differences as Danish citizens.

Our Voice is a movement for the "everyday experts" of Danish life. We need to organize our voices and represent who we truly are:

We are Parents: who know exactly where the school system is often failing international families.

We are Workers: who see potential for a better, more global workplace.

We are Students: who want to take the right steps to integrate as fast as possible, and stay in Denmark for good.

We are turning 600.000 individuals into one undeniable national force.

We are moving from the sidelines of integration to the center of Democracy.

Integration goes both ways, and we need to give back to Denmark

1. Stop Demanding, Start Organizing: We are helping building International Councils in every municipality to ensure local mayors listen to all their residents, not just the ones with a Danish passport.

2. English as a Tool, Not a Barrier: If we are essential to the workforce, a global, internationally recognized language must be essential to the service. We need to help municipal democracy towards accessibility to everyone who lives here, regardless of their Danish level.

3. Local Power, National Impact: A single vote is a whisper. 600.000 votes is a roar. We are educating and mobilizing every eligible resident to take a seat at the table.

let’s change the narrative: we are not a burden, we are an engine

Without a political voice, we are a moving target of national politics

We don't need to wait to become citizens to change Denmark. We don't need to be a leader to lead. By simply standing up and saying "I live here, and I matter" we are doing a radical act of leadership.

Denmark is our home too

It’s time we help build it.
